The delivery of socially significant food products to the Mangystau region continues.
On January 23 of this year, the work of the stabilization fund was activated in the Mangystau region in order to curb the growth of prices for socially important food products. 1,451.6 kg of potatoes were delivered to the Anvar hypermarket and 2809.6 kg of potatoes to the Dina supermarket in two large retail chain stores located in the 12th microdistrict and the Shygys-2 microdistrict.
Members of the monitoring group of public control at the regional and city levels visited the Anvar and Dina stores, where they checked the prices of goods from the stabilization fund. Kairollin Yerkebulan, Director of the Department of Food Products at Kaspiy Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation JSC, said that measures are currently being taken to keep prices for socially important food products.
— In general, the increase in potato prices is due to its seasonal rise in price. However, potatoes, like cabbage, belong to the category of socially important food products and are sold from the stabilization fund at a price of 160-168 tenge per kilogram. Retail chains can set a minimum margin of up to 10% on a product. Customers can buy potatoes at a bargain price in the stores “Aman”, “Dina”, “Dana”, “Altyn Food”. In case of unjustified price increases, consumers can report this to the local executive body.
During the monitoring, members of the public control group also checked vegetable warehouses in the Asar-C shopping center, as well as two shops in the Anvar supermarket in the 12th microdistrict. Based on the results of the audit, an act was drawn up, which was submitted to the Department of Trade and Consumer Protection of the Mangystau region.
