Meeting on the implementation of the “One village— one product” project in Mangystau region

On February 20, 2025, a meeting was held between A. Moldagulov, Chairman of the Board of JSC “SEC “Сaspiy”, and S. Salikhova, Chairman of the Council of Businesswomen of the Mangystau region, Regional Mentor of the One Village-One Product project.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the joint implementation of the “One Village-One Product”(OVOP) project in the Mangystau region. S. Salikhova spoke in detail about the project, which is aimed at developing rural areas through the development and promotion of products from local raw materials. The program is based on the concept of producing at least one competitive product in each village.

Only producers using local or local resources can participate in the OVOP project. To participate, you must fill out an application form at the regional chambers of entrepreneurs, and then be selected during the exhibition of OVOP products organized by the regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs. Up to 10 manufacturers are selected at the exhibition, whose products are initially selected by a working group.

To become a finalist, participants must undergo additional selection by the regional Brand committee. The finalists of the project will be able to apply for a grant of up to 5 million tenge, which will allow them to significantly expand the production and promotion of their products.
This project is an important step in supporting local producers and stimulating rural economic development, as well as promoting products that have the potential to reach a wider market.
