The technological process consists of two main workshops for the preparation and desalination of drinking water. In 2017, the first modernization was carried out at the plant, the design capacity was brought to the production of 20,000 m3 of water per day. The extracted drinking water is mainly supplied to the residents of the Munaili and Karakiyan districts. Due to the expiration date of the permanent technological equipment and devices to be replaced (membranes, filters), the potable water capacity per day is below the design level. In 2021, it is planned to allocate funds in the amount of 600 million tenge for this purpose. After updating and replacing these devices and optimizing technological processes, it is planned to increase the daily amount of produced drinking water to the level of 24,000 m3 this year.
In addition, in 2019, a contract was signed with a contractor for the design and construction of the project” expansion of the Kaspiy desalination plant to produce 40,000 m3 of high-quality drinking water per day ” in order to meet the needs of the population of Munaili, Tupkaragan, and Karakiyan districts, the number of which is increasing every year. For these purposes, repayable funds have been allocated from the republican budget. The planned work in connection with the pandemic in the world is being carried out with a delay. Currently, the design and estimate documentation is undergoing state expertise. Requests for the main technological equipment (foreign) are submitted and accumulated. This year, the implementation of these works will begin.
